The membership of the West Augusta Guard are dedicated to educating future generations about the American Civil War.  Each year we visit numerous schools throughout the City of Staunton and Augusta County.  Not only do we demonstrate what life for the common soldier was like during that time period, we educate to the student how the local area was touched by the Civil War.  We do this with demonstrations of material culture and stories of local history.  If you are an educator and wish to learn more of how the West Augusta Guard can help you, please contact us:
